The DPP has been at the forefront of movements demanding social and political justice. Socially, the DPP has championed social welfare policies involving the rights of women, senior citizens, children, labor, indigenous peoples, farmers, and other disadvantaged sectors of society. Politically, the DPP has lead and won battles for free speech, free press, the freedom of association, and respect for human rights. Furthermore, the DPP distinguishes itself from the ruling KMT in its domestic social policies, anti-corruption stance, and efficient government. Internationally, the DPP advocates greater integration into the world community that is aimed at enhancing the prosperity and security of Taiwan.

Future Youth Group Pakistan is the youth wing of the Liberal Forum Pakistan, a political forum for democratic training and education of the Pakistanis. YLDA granted the group a ‘provisional member status’ on November 7, 2004 during the second General Meeting in Nepal.

The Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas (KALIPI) remains and is acknowledged to be one of the largest and most-dynamic youth-wing of a political party in the Philippines.

Established on 21st of August 1989 by the young turks of the Liberal Party - Eli Quinto, Solphie Confiado, Dinggoy Roxas, and Mikee Macapagal-Arroyo, The Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas or the Young Liberals of the Philippines (KALIPI) played a crucial role in Philippine politics.

Its objectives are to provide venues for the active youth involvement in parliamentary struggle; serve as training grounds for young leaders; inculcate and deepen the understanding of liberalism among young people and; build a strong youth movement that will transform the nature of Philippine politics.

KALIPI is composed of young patriotic leaders aged 15-35 years - community youth, students, professional, entrepreneurs and women. The National Assembly, the highest policy-making body of the organization, meets every three years to elect its officers, enact the General Program of Action of the organization, amend or revise the constitution, and approve resolutions for adoption by the organization.

The Karen Youth Organization (KHRG) is a small and independent group documenting the youth situation in Burma. They are fighting for liberty and democracy in Burma. The organization is not based in Burma but in the northern regions of Thailand to avoid the Myanmar military forces.

The Khmer Nation Youth Movement (KNYM) was established on 14 December 1997 by the extra-ordinary congress of the Sam Rainsy Party. KNYM is the youth organization of the Sam Rainsy Party (SRP), the main opposition party in Cambodia.

KNYM is open all Cambodian youth from 16-40 years of age. The movement believes in the important role of youth in the building of free and democratic Cambodia.

Indonesian Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) , also called People's Awakening Party moderate Islamic political party in Indonesia.

The PKB was formed in 1998 by Abdurrahman Wahid—a Muslim cleric and head of the Council of Scholars (Nahdlatul-'Ulama), the country's largest Muslim organization— and his supporters. Its opposition to an Islamic government, however, led more conservative members to leave and establish other parties.

Garda Bangsa

Garda Bangsa was formed in 1998 following the successful political reform spearheaded by students and other campus activists to depose the tyrannical regime of President Suharto. The organization was founded by Abdurram Wahid, a former adviser of President Suharto who resigned following an escalation in government corruption and political management by the administration. He championed "Responsible Openness" within the government system and proposed the establishment of a Reform Committee in order to mitigate poor governance within the administration. His calls were left unheeded and so he eventually withdrew support for the government and joined the efforts advocating for reform in the government. Read more...
